4th Of July Safety

With the the 4th of July holiday here the most important part of the holiday is everyone going home safely after its over. There area many dangers to be aware of this Holiday season.

1. For those who spend there holiday on the beach. There is the threat of dangerous Rip currents. Rip currents are responsible for nearly 100 deaths per year nation wide. The greatest safety precaution that can be taken is recognizing the danger of rip currents and always swim where lifeguards are present.

2. BBQ's area a staple of the summer and great get togethers for the 4th of July holiday.  The National Fire Protection Association reports that on average grills cause 13 deaths, 120 injuries and 70 million in property damage annually. So please use precaution while grilling this Holiday.

And Last but not least 


3. Each 4th of July thousands of people are injured while using Fireworks! Most of these injuries are on Children and young teens. The NFPA reports that most injuries from fireworks are on people between the ages of 15-24.

    Fireworks are also one of the leading causes of fires! especially forest fires...

If you are going to light off fireworks please use the utmost safety precautions to make sure everyone goes home safely this Holiday.
